Chris O’Brien Lifehouse offers secure on-site parking for patients and visitors, with easy access to hospital facilities. The car park entrance is via Susan Street, just off Salisbury Road, and provides direct access to internal lifts that connect to all hospital floors.

Ticketless Parking
Parking at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse is now fully ticketless, using advanced number plate recognition for seamless entry and exit.
It is important that you remember or write down your number plate to validate your parking at reception when you check-in for your appointment, treatment, and/or procedure, and to pay for your parking at the pay stations.
Patient Parking
Chris O’Brien Lifehouse patients will have their parking accounts validated through an online portal by administrative staff, generally at check-in for appointments, treatments, and/or procedures. This will ensure that patients attending appointments, treatments, and/or procedures at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse receive the subsidised patient payment rate.
If your account was not validated before your appointment, please return to where you checked-in before you leave to ensure your parking has been validated.
Visitor Parking
Unfortunately, subsidised parking is not available for visitors or patients attending appointments at places other than Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.

- Parking Availability: The car park often reaches capacity between 9:30 am – 2:30 pm on weekdays, please arrive at least 15 minutes earlier than your appointment to allow time for parking.
- Alternative Parking: If the car park is at capacity, the RPA Staff and Visitor Car Park is just a 3-minute drive or 6-minute walk from Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. See more details in the next tab.
Parking Rates for COBL Underground Car Park
Monday to Friday
- Patient Parking $5/hr – maximum daily cap $25/day
- Please validate your parking with one of our friendly reception staff when you check-in for your appointment, treatment, and/or procedure.
- Visitor Parking $20/hr – maximum daily cap $120
- Unfortunately, subsidised parking is not available for visitors or patients attending appointments at places other than Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
After Hours Parking: Flat rate $25 (Monday to Friday, enter after 5pm and exit before 8am next day)
- Patients $5 per hour, with a maximum daily cap of $25
- Visitors flat rate $25
Weekend parking
- Patients $5 per hour, with a maximum daily cap of $25
- Visitors flat rate $25

If the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse car park is at capacity, additional parking is available at the RPA Staff and Visitor Car Park.

Reducing the Stress of Patient Drop-Offs
Chris O’Brien Lifehouse has a free 15-minute pick-up and drop-off zone located at the front entrance of the building on Salisbury Road.
Call ahead of your arrival on (02) 8514 0116 to organise a patient drop-off with one of our trained volunteers.
They will meet you or our loved one at the drop-off zone outside the front of the building on Salisbury Road. They can either stay with the patient or escort them to their destination, alleviating the stress of finding a parking spot.
