Gabriella Rogers of Channel 9 News interviewed Gail O’Brien about what it meant to her to see the neurosurgery unit treating patients at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. Gail spoke almost eight years after her late husband Chris O’Brien succumbed to brain cancer. She says: “It’s almost as if we’ve come full circle.”
Gabriella also spoke to Lifehouse patient and employee Lisa Hunter and Dr Brindha Shivalingam who heads up the service.
This service is another piece of the picture that Chris envisaged – that of a comprehensive cancer centre combining research with treatment and giving patients access to the latest surgical and medical equipment available.
