
Thanks to new developments in cancer treatment, some patients are seeing improved chances of survival. While you might expect this to be cause for celebration, there can be a darker side.
Lifehouse senior clinical psychologist Dr Toni Lindsay has been counselling patients with serious and terminal cancers for more then ten years and says: “I rarely see anyone who is celebratory because that position comes with a load of anxiety and worry, and your life isn’t like it was.”
