What’s new in cancer research?
- Chief Clinical Officer, Prof. Michael Boyer AM, was invited to present his findings in the Presidential Symposium at the Lung Cancer World Conference in 2020, a showcase of the leading lung cancer research in the world. His study found that the combination of two immunotherapy drugs, ipilimumab and pembrolizumab is not effective for a particular group of patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) “The addition of ipilimumab did not improve overall or progression-free survival”, Prof. Boyer explained. The study confirmed pembrolizumab monotherapy to remain a first-line standard of care for this group of patients.
