Julia obtained her medical degree from the University of Sydney and completed neurology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney before moving to the UK and undertaking fellowships and research at Oxford University and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London. During her fellowships she has done work in epilepsy, autoimmune neurology, neuroimmunology and MS, headache, as well as other subspeciality clinics.

Julia also works as a Consultant Neurologist at Prince of Wales Hospital and offers telemedicine appointments to regional and rural patients.
