Dr Sara Wahlroos was awarded her post-graduate medical degree from the University of Sydney in 2010, after completing an undergraduate degree in Medical Science with Honours at Flinders University, South Australia. She completed her breast cancer fellowship under the supervision by A/Prof Elgene Lim and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in December 2017. She was awarded her PhD from University of New South Wales in June 2021, titled “the effects of exercise on breast cancer biology”. She currently works as an Upper GI and phase 1 medical oncologist at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, and coordinates the early career research program at Lifehouse. She is also the Network director of physician’s training at St Vincent’s Hospital, as well as a conjoint lecturer at University of New South Wales and an adjunct clinical lecturer with University of Notre Dame.
