Raymond is a Radiation Oncologist at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and a Visiting Medical Officer (Specialist) at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Concord Repatriation General Hospital. He completed medical school at the University of Melbourne and trained in Radiation Oncology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Calvary Mater Newcastle. He completed a post-graduate clinical and research fellowship in head and neck oncology at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (University of Toronto).
Raymond’s clinical work focuses on caring for patients with head and neck, genitourinary, and colorectal cancers. He is an active member of multi-disciplinary teams for each of these three sub-specialty areas, including deputy chair of the Head and Neck MDT at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. He has helped devise and review cancer treatment protocols as a member of eviQ reference committees.
Raymond is a study investigator and recruits patients onto clinical trials at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, including acting as site Principal Investigator in a Phase I study. He has published and reviewed multiple research papers in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national and international meetings.
Raymond is co-Director of Training of Radiation Oncology trainees at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, overseeing and mentoring registrars through their five-year specialist training program. He is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney School of Medicine, providing lectures and tutorials for medical students.
