Victoria is a senior acupuncturist and research fellow at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, and a clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney. Her clinical work has been in the area of integrative oncology in the Living Room, using acupuncture to help manage the symptoms and side effects of cancer treatments for patients undergoing treatments like chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
Victoria’s research interest is in clinical research looking at the mechanistic effects of acupuncture in an oncology setting and health services research. She is the principal investigator for the clinical trial of electroacupuncture for chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) and through her research she hopes to understand the underlying path mechanism of CIPN and develop an acupuncture treatment protocol to treat it and improve the quality of life of cancer patients.
In her spare time, Victoria is a keen reader and an urban gardening enthusiast.
