Dr Vineet Gorolay graduated with honours in Medicine from the University of New South Wales. He trained in radiology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) before completing an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited subspecialty Neuroradiology Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). There, he gained expertise in brain, skull base, head and neck, and spine imaging, with a focus on neuro-oncology. Dr Gorolay also spent time as a Visiting Scholar at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, studying nasopharyngeal cancer and advanced head and neck imaging.
Dr Gorolay is the Neuroradiology Lead for Brain Tumour Research at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse (COBL). He also works with the RPA & COBL Neurosurgery and Molecular Neuro-Oncology Multidisciplinary Team, where he helps with precision diagnostics in neuro-oncology. Additionally, he is a Staff Specialist Neuroradiologist at COBL, RPAH, and Royal North Shore Hospital.
As an educator and researcher, Dr Gorolay focuses on artificial intelligence in tumour imaging, MRI biomarkers in glioblastoma, and post-treatment surveillance for neuro- and head & neck cancers. He has presented at major international conferences and published in top neuroradiology and oncology journals. He is also a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Neuroradiology (ANZSNR) and the Cooperative Trials Group for Neuro-Oncology (COGNO), contributing to advancements in neuro-oncology imaging.
